The ING- Renault F1 Story After considering a wide rage of popular international sporting events, ING announced its three-year sponsorship agreement with the highly successful Renault F1 team on October 16, 2006. Formula 1, the pinnacle of motor racing, was chosen because it offers the best channel for ING to strengthen its global brand and reach its broad customer base through on-going, high-quality exposure. Global reach Grand Prix races take place in 17 countries, of which ING is active in 15. Our sponsorship will strengthen our presence in our key markets, and help us reach new ones. The ING Renault F1 team will increase global awareness about the ING brand, increase our coverage in the media while providing excellent opportunities for employee engagement.
