In March 2006 at the Geneva Motor Show, Peugeot revealed the exciting Peugeot 207 R CUP Concept Car, which gave clues to the future 207 Super 2000. The project started on 16 May 2006, when the 207 Super 2000 fired into life for the first time, under the watchful eyes of Bruno Famin, Technical Manager of Peugeot Sport and Bertrand Vallat, Project Manager for the 207 Super 2000 at Peugeot Sports base at Vélizy on the outskirts of Paris. . As part of the development it has also had two public outings in two rallies: Antibes in France in October and Condroz in Belgium in November
