007 Chevrolet Suburban 5.3L Vortec V8 AMSOIL Dual Remote By-Pass Filter System Submitted by AMSOIL Dealer Tom Georgalos I used an BMK-13 By-Pass Oil Filter System Kit for a 5.3-liter gasoline Chevrolet V8. I have measured and my installationwill also work for 4.8 / 5.3 / 6.0 Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac. I fabricated a custom steel bracket that simply bolts up to the alternator bracket. I backed out and used the main support bolt for the alternator. I also used two smaller bolts to hold the electrical junction box to the alternator bracket. The steelbracket is gusseted on the backside for strength and is made of 1/8” plate steel. I added one more hole or slot in case anextra bolt needs to be drilled and tapped for more attachment. The main full-flow filter is an EaO-15. The EaBP-90 is the By-pass filter of choice with a total increase of 40% more oil. I use Series 2000 0W-30 motor oil.
